RACE 1 – STU VALENTINE 4 BLOODSTOCK INS PACE – 1730 metres

Pre-race blood samples were collected from LIFES A JUNGLE.

OVERPOWERING over-raced in the early stages of the score up onto the back of IF HES LUCKY. and broke stride. A warning was issued.

OVERPOWERING weakened over the concluding stages to be beaten some distance.

 

RACE 2 – GET WELL SOON BELLY PACE – 1730 metres

Pre-race blood samples were collected from IM ALL COURAGE.

SHANOCON NZ lost touch with the main body of the field passing the 800 metres when the pace quickened.

LIMBO LARRY was held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

SHANOCON NZ which was successful in the event was sent to be swabbed.

 

RACE 3 – HRNSW GUARANTEED 3YO FILLIES PACE – 1730 metres

WHATA REACTOR broke stride in the middle stages of the score up and was out of position as the start was effected. The filly will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

THRU TO THE KEEPER was slow away as the start was effected.

ZANADU which was successful in the event was sent to be swabbed.

 

RACE 4 – GET WELL SOON MONICA PACE – 2260 metres

Pre-race blood samples were collected from COOLIE KID NZ.

SNOOP STRIDE was examined by the veterinarian pre and post-race with no abnormalities reported.

MISS RODRIGUEZ had a tendency to over-race in the early and middle stages of the event when racing at the rear of the field.

COOLIE KID NZ which was successful in the event was sent to be swabbed.

 

RACE 5 – GET WELL SOON TERRY PACE – 1730 metres

Pre-race blood samples were collected from FOUROEIGHT.

Driver M Rue was fined the sum of $100 under Rule 163(3) for trailing the wheel of SABRAGE NZ between the 1200 metres and the 900 metres. When approaching the 1000 metres the pace in the event eased slightly where by FOUROEIGHT contacted the off side wheel of SABRAGE NZ resulting in a puncture, placing it at a disadvantage over the concluding stages of the event.

FOUROEIGHT had a tendency to hang in during various stages of the event.

 

RACE 6 – OBERON NIGHT 18 JANUARY LADYSHIP PACE – 1730 metres

Pre-race blood samples were collected from COFFEE BAY.

LUCKY NUTTER had a tendency to over race in the early stages of the event.

LAGOM which was successful in the event was sent to be swabbed.

 

RACE 7 – FOR A REASON PACE – 1730 metres

REMEMBER MAC was held up for clear running over the concluding stages of the event.

CROSSFIREHALL which was successful in the event was sent to be swabbed.

 

RACE 8 – BALLINGER TRANSPORT 3Y0 PACE – 1730 metres

Pre-race blood samples were collected from FALCONS HONOUR.

CAMBO BLASTER broke stride racing into the first turn free of interference. Connections were advised given the record that the gelding would be stood down until it can requalify on four occasions and stood down from racing for a period of 28 days.

Driver J Turnbull (CAMBO BLASTER) was reprimanded under Rule 163(1)(b) in that when entering the home straight on the first occasion has shifted up the track without the required clearance over SPORTS AGENT which had to be eased out of the position.

CAMBO BLASTER which was successful in the event was sent to be swabbed.
