YOUNG drivers look set to dominate at Penrith tonight.

In the opening event seven of the 10 drivers are under the age of 21. The youngest is 17-year-old Will Rixon who will drive Attacknrhythm. Rixon, a grandson of the great Tony Turnbull, has already steered 87 winners in his first two seasons of driving. Rixon has four drives tonight with Art I Special (Race 2) one of his strongest chances. He will then head to Menangle this Saturday night where he will drive Kiamasrosie in the $20,000 Kevin and Kay Seymour Evolution Series Final.

Race 3: Stormont Star (3)

Stormont Star holds the key to this race with this draw. He looks to be the early leader and can control the tempo from there. His recent record is hard to fault having won four of his last six starts.

  • Penrith next best

Race 2: Bandit Stride (2)

The draw is much more favourable for Bandit Stride compared to last week when drawing the second row and finishing fifth after not gaining a clear run until late. He grades well and can bounce back into the winners’ circle.
