PROMISING youngster Muscle Factory will now join Team Tritton after being sold for a six-figure sum.

The colt won a heat of the Australian Pacing Gold at Menangle on Tuesday under the training guidance of Rickie Alchin and was later sold to new connections that night.

“It’s sad to see him go because I’ve really liked this horse from day one and he just qualified for the APG Final, the richest two-year-old race in Australia and I was looking forward to the Final with him,” Alchin said.

“He was sold for a six-figure sum and will be trained by Shane and Lauren Tritton and should go on to do a great job.

“He has always been a nice horse and he’s already qualified for a Group 1.

“As a yearling he was passed in at the Queensland APG Sale and never got a bid!”

Muscle Factory’s win was Alchin’s 105th win as a trainer.

Alchin, who is known for breaking-in and educating young horses, kicked off a winning streak at Menangle last Saturday when his trotter Tough Monarch won first up from a spell.

A couple of days later at the same venue, Alchin won the first two-year-old trotters’ race in New South Wales for the season when his squaregaiter Majestuoso won on debut.

Majestuoso is also for sale.
