Criteria for Harness Racing NSW Awards selection is listed here

There are winners in 33 categories named at each year’s Annual Awards night.

Naming of the NSW Horse of the Year provides a climax to presentations that highlight the efforts and performances of harness racing’s elite.

A shortlist of nominations is prepared by the management and expert staff of HRNSW for consideration by a voting panel determined by HRNSW.
